Playgrounds are a hit with kids: glittery slides, rainbow-hued swings and springidejibbing seesaws. Come join us on the fun and adventure of playgrounds for kids like us.
I hear laughter at the playground as we run and slide down slippery slides and swing high in the air. Favourite games of tag, climbing rope ladders, and balancing on wobbly bridges are always part of the fun at the playground. Even bolder than that, we love to rev things up by trying new things and facing our fears!
We use our imagination in all the areas of the playground. It is in the playground where our dreams come to life, where children pretend to be spacemen inside a rocket ship climbing structure and they make up stories in a sandbox. Who knows what fantastic worlds we will create in our next visit!
Add soft ground, tough equipment and caring adults and the playground is a place that’s safe for kids to have a ton of fun. Swinging, sliding and climbing keep our muscles strong and teach us new things, at the same time that they keep us up and about and healthy. And parents can rest easy while we play in a protected space.
Playground time isn’t only about having a good time — it’s where we make friends. We will make friends that are second to none by sharing toys, by taking turns on the slide, by racing each other and to the end, as we cheer for one another. The person we meet today could be the one who becomes our best friend tomorrow!
When we are under tables, climbing rock walls and digging in the sand we aren’t just playing; we are learning too. The playground provides new opportunities to try new things, discover what we like, and practice our social skills. Each trip to the playground helps us in becoming curious, confident and caring kids.
